Whomp
- C: Teacher! Teacher! Me wear my hat inside?
- Me: No, not inside. Outside only.
- V: WHOMP!! WHOMP!! WHOOOOOMP!!!!!
Dear Mom,
Spraying cologne on your 5 year old does not make him cuter. It will not get him out of trouble. It does not mask the smell of NOT SHOWERING. Also, Mom, it does not make him pay attention any better.
Sincerely,
A Disgruntled Kinder Teacher
I made this blog when I was a first grade teacher. Now that I’m a kinder teacher it really is JUST CRAYONS AND GLUE!! *sigh*
Assignment: Draw a picture of your new friend.
Natalie: This is you Miss C!
Result: Me as a potato person.
Potato person: A kid drawing of a person that has arms and legs connected the head; a drawing of a person lacking a torso, thus resulting in a potato-like person.
I am not quite sure how I feel about kindergarten yet. I’m a 1st grade teacher at heart. Hopefully today will be a good day.
Upside: 5 year olds are pretty funny because they have no idea what is happening… ever.

Holiday Art Project
Materials: 14 craft sticks, liquid glue, paint, embellishments, and thick magnetic tape
1.Use 10 craft sticks for the raft and 4 for the frame. Glue the raft together my dipping the sides of the craft sticks in glue. Let the glue dry before gluing the frame. Let the glue fully dry.
2. Paint. Let the paint fully dry.
3. We used holiday and winter embellishments from the craft store. They are foam stickers.
4. Glue a picture inside the frame.
5. Since only some families in my school’s neighborhood have Christmas trees, we used thick magnetic tape. Then, all the students can display their work on the refrigerator.
